Cooper and Me
and the Winter Adventure!

How do you think it feels to be lost?

Getting separated from a loved one can be scary when a child doesn’t know what to do. Sometimes when children are playing with friends or are bored, they come up with ideas of activities that seem really fun. Often, they take that adventure or try that activity and don’t think of anything except how exciting it will be. Occasionally, this results in children getting hurt, lost, or scared. Children should know what to do if/when they get separated or lost from a loved one. They should begin developing good decision-making skills by exploring ways these characters and, by extension, they can be prepared and safe at all times.
What would you do if you were lost?
What kind of information should you know
in case you ever get separated from the person you are with?

Monique and Alexa approach these issues in a fun and memorable way kids will relate to. When I read this story with my six year old son, we talked about what we should do if we got lost, and what we should Not do. Cooper and his friends are the perfect media to teach kids these lessons. It will open dialogue for you to talk with your kids about these issues, too.  I'm sure you'll enjoy the fun story as much as we did, and perhaps re-read it a few times as he requested me to do, also! =) I love reading with my kids <3

  1. I get lost all the time, in thought that is. There isn't much worry when it comes to that...but when I am truly lost in a place I'm not familiar with, I try to stay in the same place and figure a way to where I began. Sometimes, when I am lost in my life, I ask God for help and understanding. That is how I come out of my ruts.

  2. This looks like a good book for my kids to read. I like that they donate some money from the sales to a charity. If I don't win the book I'm going to get it anyway.thanks for the review
